For residents exclusively in and around SE16, we offer a weekly Thursday Canada Waterclinic in the café at Canada Water Library. The regular advisor is Richard Wheater and you can also book Phil Briscoe of Newington Communications on occasional Wednesdays. Supported by British Land.
For residents in the Elephant and Castle area, we have a morning clinic offer on Tuesday Elephant and Castle clinic at our offices Unit 231 Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre for a limited period.

For the 4th year running Tree Shepherd is delighted to announce we will be securing a marquee for traders at the prestigious Lambeth Country Show. This is the biggest free family festival in London with over 150,000 people predicted to attend it is a fantastic trade and showcase opportunity.
We are not funded to run this event, we just love doing it and we think local people need an affordable way to access this high-profile festival. All types of business are welcome. As well as selling products, remember stalls can be used for showcasing and publicity. It’s the perfect place to launch. The camaraderie in the marquee is fantastic and traders can do extremely well.

Textile, fashion and accessories
Our student on the Big Local Works programme Martina Sgoifo is putting together a Southwark group for textile, fashion and accessory makers. She runs a studio in Peckham called the Make It Studio with popup shop offer and wants the collective to come together to explore ideas, production, trading opportunities. Certain of these opportunities will be centred in South Bermondsey where Martina is keen to give back and is grateful for the generous support of the Grosvenor funded programme. Other opportunities will be around the borough and beyond.

Food and Dining
We are organising a new collective for Southwark’s food startups. Our first meeting will be at Big Local Works, 4 Market Place SE16 on Monday 30th April 11am.
We will be keen to explore a variety of opportunities around Southwark, however particularly keen to be a part of the rapidly developing market on Market Place in South Bermondsey where the fabulous Bermondsey Community Kitchen are putting together a foodie outdoor trade initiative (in partnership with Big Local Works). Mike Donovan at the Kitchen will be joining us.
Jonny Rushton, successful entrepreneur who has two eatery bars in Brixton will be joining the group to offer advice and guidance.

We are delighted to announce that Etsegenet Kassahun (Mimi), a former student on our W12 course, will be helping us develop our Skill Up Start Up course for Fulham’s more marginalised communities to help them get into self-employment.
